For more than 100 years, the School of Social Policy & Practice (SP2) has carried on a tradition first championed by Penn’s founder Benjamin Franklin: placing scholarly interests in service to the public good. SP2 is uniquely positioned to continue this model of learning. Our vision is “the passionate pursuit of social innovation, impact, and justice.” We are able to fulfill it in large part due to the generosity of our alumni and friends. Giving priorities at SP2 include: educational innovation; social justice through the arts (e.g. film); term and endowed professorships; merit and need-based scholarships; ongoing program support (e.g., mental health, homelessness, child welfare, mass incarceration, and gerontology); and social policy and nonprofit leadership. The following list honors those whose new gifts, pledges, or pledge payments in fiscal year 2017 have helped SP2 to continue its mission of excellence in education for service. Thanks!
